WOW…I was just astonished! I clicked on an ad on a website that would give me an astrology reading. What caught my eye was this exerpt in the reading….LOL.
As a writer, the kind of unusual story you might excel in would have to do with the sea on one hand, say the situation of castaways on a South Sea isle. Alternatively, you could write imaginatively about souls in a purely spiritual or holy life, such as monks, nuns, priests and others who have taken celibacy vows yet are faced with the demands of the material world.
I have no idea how it knew I was a writer. I sware I didnt put any info in that would give that away! Thought I would share this. Even if its not interesting! I thought it was!
Later everyone!

Not every high school music group gets to perform at a prestigious international music festival. But not every group is the Fort Zumwalt North High School Jazz Band.

When the new Disney movie “Prince Caspian: Chronicles of Narnia” came out in theaters, many went to see it who had never read the book it was based on. The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis, is a collection of seven children’s books which all have one thing in common: the magical land of Narnia. Written fifty nine years ago, the books are still incredibly popular, and the movies have come along just recently.
First, Walden and Disney put together their movie “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” It’s the first book C.S. Lewis published, though not the first in the order of the Chronicles. The Magician’s Nephew was the first in order of the books. In the movie version of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” the story and dialogue sticks very closely to the books. I’ve read the books myself several times, so watching the movie was like seeing the book come alive. The actors were terrific, and the digital work in the film was wonderful. There are so many imaginary creatures in a magical land like Narnia; the movie really made them real- some creatures are as simple as regular animals that can speak. The great lion, Aslan, who is King of Narnia, looked as real as you could expect a talking lion to look.
With the success of the first movie, I anticipated the next movie, “Prince Caspian”, to be just as good- or better. But I found that this next movie, instead of following closely to the book’s original plot, put in twists of its own and used the book more as a loose guideline. The result was a good movie, no doubt about it. Again, the actors were wonderful in their parts and played the beloved characters very well. The digital characters and effects were realistic and believable in this movie, too.
However, I was somewhat disappointed that the script writers changed the character of Peter so completely. In the movie version, the main character Caspian and the old High King Peter begin a rivalry that starts off subtly and ends very much in the open with both young men making grave errors in battle. At a time when they are expected to be leaders to the Narnians, they are instead pursuing petty arguments and wounded pride.
I enjoyed the movie a lot; the changes didn’t “ruin” it at all for me. The fact that these movies are even made is good enough for me; I love watching my favorite books played out onscreen. But I think it’s important to point out the changes that took place between the book and movie. The rivalry of Caspian and Peter and what results from their arguments is the big change from the book. It’s a good look into both characters, but it presents flaws that weren’t divulged in the books.
Unlike the first movie, this one differs from its source of inspiration. I think both the movie and the book are good, enjoyable stories, but to fully get the benefit of both stories, I believe you should read the book as well as see the movie.
