I’m not really sure when I should take the ACT next, but all signs point to now. So…I signed up today. For the October 24 test at Timberland. I took it once before, in seventh grade, and I’m guessing this will be even less fun than then. I’m not a fan of standardized tests. It is so difficult to concentrate through the whole thing. And, science is the last section, and also my worst subject. And, with college coming up (oh god…so not ready for that) I need to think about, like, Bright Flight. Which means a 31 or higher (probably higher) on the ACT. Which means studying? Studying. Ugh.
And then…college. I’m thinking SEMO is my best bet for graphic design, but then again, Truman has a nice program too. And what about my (incredibly expensive) dream school? Wash U, I want you dearly. But unless I get a grrrrreeat (better than Frosted Flakes great) scholarship, there is nooo wayyy I can go there. So, it’s time to start touring and see what comes up as the best. Agh.
Finally, I’ve got school now. Two APs and all honors classes and I need to keep a 3.9 or higher GPA. Ha. I hope that works out. On the up side, I’m taking cool classes this year. Advanced Drawing and Painting, AP US History, AP English. Yay yay yay. I think this year will be a good year.
So, as for my title, I’ve never understood what people meant when they said that. But now I totally do. My future is happening now. Everything I do now determines what happens when I’m older. Which is cool. And also…sucky.
I think I’ll need the tips I pick up for my stress management story.
